About the LEAD Instructor

During his 30+ year corporate career, A. Chris Fawzy served as a C-suite executive and general counsel for two publicly traded global companies across the aerospace, industrial, energy, and medical device sectors. In these roles, he enabled enterprise-defining value creation through master-level strategy design, cross-border M&A, complex commercial transactions, and rigorous operational execution.

Driven by a lifelong passion for mentoring and equipping executive leaders, boards, cross-functional teams, and individual contributors to achieve transformational business results, Chris designed ACF’s Commercial Deal Masterclass.

Snow-Covered Mountains

During this immersive, workshop-driven course, we bring together stakeholders from critical business and legal functions across your organization to explore the essential principles for establishing optimal long-term commercial sales and supply agreements with major OEMs and global partners.

This dynamic educational experience is customized to your organization’s deal profiles, strategic objectives, and enterprise risk considerations, and is carefully designed to transform how your organization thinks, collaborates, and executes. Through a highly interactive, cross-functional approach, participants will learn to evaluate transactions through the perspectives of other functions across the enterprise, fostering greater alignment, stronger decision-making, and more effective execution. They will develop the strategic judgment, systems awareness, preparedness, and enterprise-wide perspective needed to structure better transactions from the outset—resulting in stronger business outcomes and contracts that accurately capture, effectively implement, and appropriately protect the intended deal.

Core Pillars of the Masterclass

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: High-value deals fail when teams operate in silos. This program invites the C-suite, sales, supply chain, operations, engineering, finance, HR, legal, and other key stakeholders into the same room to create a unified framework centered on common business objectives.
  • Commercial Contract Mastery: Learn to recognize the key, and often overlooked, commercial and legal terms that are crucial for deal success. Move past rigid legal templates to understand how specific contract clauses directly drive or protect the commercial intent of the deal.
  • Capture the Essence of the Deal: Your organization — including its sales organizations, technology, customer relationships, operations, supply chain, and administrative support functions — are inherently complex. This course teaches how to capture that complexity and translate it into an elegant and effective contractual vehicle: one built to support your critical business functions and accurately capture the intent of the deal.
  • Global Negotiation Tactics: Master the nuances of human-to-human, high-stakes negotiations across the table and across the globe. Learn how to approach negotiations with empathy to uncover the core needs of customers, suppliers, and other partners to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Tailored to Your Enterprise: Every organization operates with unique friction points. In preparation for delivering the course, Chris and the ACF team engage directly with your executive leadership team to understand your organization’s unique friction points, ensuring the curriculum and workshop scenarios address operational realities.
